Do You Seek A Filipino Martial Arts Maryland School List?This Filipino Martial Arts Maryland page is designed to increase public exposure to the combative arts of the Philippines.Having spent a great deal of time conducting Internet searches for schools in Maryland that provide martial arts training in the Filipino methods, it’s quite obvious that when compared to other countries’ martial arts like Korea, Japan, or China, the Filipino Martial Arts of Kali, Arnis and Escrima lack the same level of mainstream exposure. This is extremely unfortunate because these arts are highly evolved martial forms that have much to offer students. These highly evolved martial forms provide a comprehensive warrior education that includes both empty-hand and weapons applications with weapons being priority one. Students learn a variety of techniques that can be applied to the various aspects of combat, such as striking, trapping, and grappling to name but three. Students also learn to apply these aspects within the ranges of long, medium, and short. Furthermore, students learn principles that improve the application of techniques, allow for flexibility in application, and provide a framework for analyzing the techniques of other systems. As a student and teacher of Kali, I am highly confident that you will love these arts too if you just have a quality opportunity to experience them. While I would obviously like your quality opportunity to experience the Filipino Martial Arts of Kali, Arnis and Escrima to be with me, I understand that your location may make that unlikely. With that in mind, I have provided you with a list of schools in Maryland that teach Filipino Martial Arts. This list is by no means a comprehensive list of schools and / or teachers. It is simply based on my personal Internet research.
